Gordon Ramsay is a very famous name in the global culinary world. Not only is he a famous chef, Gordon Ramsay is also a producer and reality TV star of a series of top culinary shows such as Hell’s Kitchen or Master Chef .
Currently, Gordon Ramsay owns a chain of restaurants that hold a total of 14 Michelin stars – an extremely enviable number. He is also the author of more than 20 cookbooks, some of which are international bestsellers.
Despite his fame, Gordon Ramsay rarely talks about his private life. Therefore, what he reveals about his family and parenting style may be surprising compared to what we usually imagine from a famous millionaire chef family.
Anywhere is fine as long as it doesn’t have to be at dad’s restaurant !
Most people think that the Ramsay children can completely follow their father’s career and work at the famous restaurant chain. But the truth is completely the opposite, Gordon Ramsay would rather let his children work for another chef than let them work in his restaurant.
In an interview, Gordon admitted: “I’m fierce, I’m fair. I get criticized a lot for my straightforwardness and honesty, but I don’t let that bother me.”
“For example, I wouldn’t employ my own children. I don’t want my staff to think, ‘They’re Ramsay’s kids, we can’t fire them.’ They want to work in this cutthroat business? They have to go see another chef, learn something different and come back with something new to improve the business ,” the celebrity chef added.

Ramsay’s children will not inherit their father’s huge fortune.
Gordon Ramsay has amassed a huge fortune to date, but that doesn’t mean his children can comfortably benefit from this wealth.
The talented chef once revealed: “My children will not inherit all my assets, that’s for sure. I chose that because I don’t want to spoil them. The only thing I agreed with my wife is that my five children will receive a 25% deposit on an apartment, but not the entire apartment. Instead, I will probably leave my income to some charity.”

No access to luxury perks
A strict father, Ramsay revealed that his children would never travel in first class with him and his wife. “My kids don’t sit in first class with us,” he said. “They don’t work hard enough to deserve it. At their age, do you think they should be in first class? But our answer would be no.”
Ramsay continued: “Every time we board a plane, my husband and I turn left into first class, and the kids turn right into economy. I tell the head flight attendant to make sure the kids don’t bother me in this cabin, I want to sleep during the flight. I’ve worked very hard to be here. Generally, you only deserve privileges once you’ve put in a lot of effort to get them.”
No vegetarianism
As a chef and a food researcher, Gordon Ramsay has a special love for the dishes he cooks and he always instills in his children the sophistication of each meal. There are many taboos in Ramsay’s family, one of which is vegetarianism. He once said: “My biggest nightmare is if my children come to me and say: Dad, I want to be a vegetarian.”

There is no swearing in the Ramsay family.
This may seem contradictory given Gordon Ramsay’s hot-tempered personality and penchant for swearing – a character viewers are all too familiar with on television. But for the Ramsay children, swearing is not allowed.
The chef once said: ” Swearing is the language of industry. As long as we are alive, it will not change. Sometimes you have to be hot-tempered and say bad words to be able to promote the work to operate better. The children know I say bad words. I say it is the language of industry and speaking that language of industry to children is not allowed.”
It’s not so important about your child’s grades.
Ramsay and his wife do not place too much importance on their children getting high marks in all subjects in their school exams. They believe that each child has different strengths and in Ramsay’s case, his strength is cooking.
“I don’t agree with people being judged as good or bad in an exam. It bothers me because the pressure on young people today is terrible. I wasn’t a brilliant kid at 15, the same at 12 or 18. Even though I didn’t do well in school, I was a very good cook. So I’m grateful for the way I was shaped and I think it’s important to develop your abilities from the age of 11 ,” the chef explained his views.
