Gordon Ramsay is most well-known for his culinary skills, but he knows a thing or two about how to run a marathon.
The celebrity chef shared his well-wishes for this year’s Boston Marathon runners outside Ramsay’s Kitchen, which opened in the Back Bay in 2022. Located at 774 Boylston St., the restaurant is right by the marathon’s finish line at Copley Square.

“Wishing all of you the very best of luck when you’re passing this amazing line [at] the Boston Marathon tomorrow,” Ramsay said Sunday in an Instagram Reel.
In addition to his culinary training, Ramsay has had his fair share of marathon training. The chef’s first marathon was the 2000 London Marathon, and since then, he’s run 14 more marathons, five ultramarathons, and completed several triathlons.
With a wealth of experience to share, Ramsay kept his advice simple.
“Take your time; turn it into four 10K’s run, and pat yourself on the back every time you get past 10K,” Ramsay said.
As much praise as he had for this year’s athletes, Ramsay said it wouldn’t all be possible without the incredible efforts of sideline supporters.
“You guys are amazing,” Ramsay said. “This thing would not be possible without the love and respect that this city shows you all.”
