Gordon Ramsay’s Street Burger restaurant in Kensington has abruptly closed its doors following a string of negative reviews that left the establishment with a mere 3.5-star rating on TripAdvisor.
The High Street eatery’s closure comes after months of scathing customer feedback about the restaurant’s service, food quality and prices.
The scale of customer dissatisfaction is reflected in TripAdvisor statistics, with 76 out of 226 reviews rating the restaurant as either “poor” or “terrible.”
The restaurant’s last review on TripAdvisor slams it’s: “Bad taste bad service bad size bad price bad everything. If this is something to do with Gordon Ramsey’s recipes – Wake up. GR!”
Another, posted in November 2024, called Ramsay’s venture: “The most terrible place to be. I’ve never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant.”
Multiple diners also reported waiting long periods for their food, even when the restaurant wasn’t busy.
“Had to wait over an hour for the food, it was cold when we finally got the food,” wrote one customer, noting the restaurant was “not very busy but took ages for the service.”
Another reviewer complained that their chips were cold upon arrival, while others said they came away “really disappointed”.

“Gordon, you need to get down there and sort this restaurant out!” demanded one reviewer.
However, not every review was as damning with one recent diner glowing about the “wonderful food and amazing staff!”
They also praised one of the staff members as “the most attentive, knowledgeable and friendly waitress.”
“Great food and good service, enjoyable atmosphere inside,” another added.
The High Street location has now been boarded up with brown paper covering the windows, as it undergoes transformation into a Burger & Lobster restaurant, reports the Daily Mail.
