Gordon Ramsay secretly films new Fox show at Rhode Island restaurant

A Rhode Island restaurant shockingly learned they’d be featured on a new Gordon Ramsay series – not the show they signed up for.

The celebrity chef and restaurateur, 58, famous for hit shows like Hell’s Kitchen and MasterChef, has added another exciting project to his long list of TV credits. His latest venture, Secret Service, airing on FOX, will see him go undercover to rescue struggling restaurants, infiltrating some of America’s most neglected and chaotic kitchens.

Crazy Burger, a popular eatery in Narragansett known for its specialty burgers, smoothies and juice bar, initially believed they were being cast in a show called Restaurant Refresh. But, they soon learned they were actually appearing on Secret Service.

A casting call was held for the so-called show Restaurant Fresh in Rhode Island earlier this year and filming reportedly began this month, which was later revealed as a hoax, according to WPRI.

Speculation built on social media, with fans guessing that the new series will follow the celebrity chef as he helps struggling restaurants regroup and improve, similar to Kitchen Nightmares.

Viewers have already been pleasantly surprised after Ramsay was spotted with spy gear on for promotion for Secret Service. Tony Kadillak, executive director at Versus, the production company partnering with FOX Entertainment, said about the series, “Not only did we have talent in Gordon who was truly invested in capturing the best performance (and endured our ‘extras’ for multiple takes), we also had a fun and inspired concept from our partners at Fox that we had an opportunity to bring to life.”
