Gordon Ramsay and Guy Fieri took their bromance to new heights at Super Bowl LIX. During the fourth quarter of the blowout championship game, the celebrity chef besties showed off their matching looks—which seemed heavily influenced by the Mayor of Flavortown’s own style.
“A new duo is entering the 4th quarter…😂😂,” Fieri captioned the post. And while they may have been outfitted in a very Guy-inspired look, they swapped personalities for the cheeky video. “Oh my God, I can’t believe they’re getting blown out,” Fieri said in his best British accent. “Dude, this sucks,” Ramsay replied in his own American accent, before going in for a high five.
Fans quickly flooded the comments. “A crossover we need,” one user wrote, while another chimed in, “I didn’t know I needed this 😂.”
“Gordon’s American accent is killing [me] 😂😂,” a third person commented.
More fans flooded the Instagram, commenting everything from “Legendary” to “This is a wild one!!!”
At this point, the personality swap is just tradition—especially at the Super Bowl. Last year, the pair teamed up for a similar skit during the big game. “When I became #GuyFieri at the #SuperBowl,” Ramsay wrote on the now-viral TikTok, which amassed one million likes.
“God dammit,” Ramsay said in the clip, to which Fieri responded (in the same mimicked accent) “This is football?” The two proceeded to then break out into hysterical laughter.
They don’t just swap roles at the Super Bowl, though. The pair had a similar Freaky Friday moment at the Foodwoods Casino restaurant in May.”Who let @guyfieri into @hellskitchen ??? 😂😂 @guysfoxwoods @foxwoods,” Ramsay joked on Instagram alongside another video of the two impersonating each other.
“If I put your head between two pieces of bread, you know what you’re gonna be?” Fieri barked at Ramsay in the video, in an obvious nod to his infamous “idiot sandwich” insult. For his part, Ramsay attempted (emphasis on attempted) to plate Fieri’s Trash Can nachos.
“Now piss off you yankee yankee Doodle piece of shite,” Guy added.
We’re just waiting for a full-blown show inspired by the social media bit. Or at least Gordon Ramsay on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Please!
