When it comes to appearances, many like to change things up from time to time as a way to refresh one’s look. Well, get ready fans, because General Hospital’s Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda) just shared a shocking hair makeover that was hot, hot, hot.
The former ABC soap fave posted two photos on social media to show off her new do, along with a message about aging. “People don’t ever tell men to ‘age gracefully,’” Marcil stated. “I intend to age ungracefully and have fun. Think Cher but unlikable.”
In the first pic, the actress, donning some shades, showed off the hot-pink look while in the second, she gave a sideward glance to give her followers another angle to her latest style.
We’re all for trying new things, as well as for aging “ungracefully,” and in doing so, Marcil rocked it out of the park!
Given the daring, bold move, it’s hard to believe that many, many years ago, Marcil didn’t think she was pretty enough to land the part of Brenda. In a recent video chat with Mark Teschner, the soap’s legendary casting director shared with Soaps.com how the actress almost left the audition for the iconic role. “If I had been a minute later to open the door,” he explained, “she wouldn’t have auditioned for the role!”
