Los Angeles (USA) authorities have just announced the autopsy results of Hollywood actor Matthew Perry.
At the end of October, the Friends actor was found unresponsive and drowning in his home swimming pool. Medical staff were unable to save Matthew Perry. The actor passed away at the age of 54 .
The death was ruled an accident with no apparent cause. However, a recent autopsy revealed a heartbreaking story.

Authorities found both addictive substances and drug-relief aids in the actor’s body.

The autopsy also found another active ingredient that aided the actor in his drug treatment. The interactions and effects of these active ingredients are believed to be the main cause of Matthew Perry’s tragic passing.

Before his death, Matthew Perry had regained sobriety, successfully recovering from alcohol and drugs. He even hoped to build a new life, start a family and maintain a healthier lifestyle. These were things that Matthew Perry could not do during his decades of struggling with addiction.

Throughout his acting career, Matthew Perry has appeared in numerous television series, films, and stage plays. He is best remembered for his role in the popular American television series Friends . The series aired from 1994 to 2004.
In 2022, Matthew Perry released an autobiography that recounted his entire life and career. In it, he revealed that he had a near-death experience at the age of 49 due to a perforated intestine. This was a consequence of his years of alcohol and drug addiction.
This health incident left Matthew Perry in a coma for 2 weeks and requiring him to be hospitalized for 5 months. After being discharged, Matthew Perry had to continue to be monitored and treated for another 9 months.
When Perry suffered a perforated bowel, doctors informed his family to prepare him mentally because he only had a 2% chance of survival. After experiencing this serious incident, Perry was determined to quit alcohol and stimulants to live a healthier life.
In November 2020, while Matthew Perry was undergoing rehab, the actor suffered a cardiac arrest for five minutes due to some dangerous drug interactions during treatment.
Matthew Perry was saved by CPR, but during the emergency, eight of the actor’s ribs were broken.
Perry has undergone 15 rounds of rehab throughout his life. The actor says he began to develop a drinking problem at the age of 14.
