First Look: Tony & Ziva Reunite With Daughter Tali in Emotional ‘NCIS’ Spin-Off Teaser

After years of anticipation, NCIS legends Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are finally stepping back into the spotlight as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David in NCIS: Tony & Ziva – and this time, they’re not alone.

Paramount+ has unveiled the first official teaser and exclusive photos from the new spinoff series, and the fan-favorite couple is bringing their 12-year-old daughter, Tali, along for the ride. Played by rising British star Isla Gie, Tali is front and center in what promises to be a heart-pounding and emotionally rich family adventure across Europe.

The upcoming 10-episode season is described as a fast-paced blend of action, espionage, and family drama – with Weatherly calling it “the biggest professional adventure of my life.” Both Weatherly and De Pablo are executive producers on the project, working closely to shape the next chapter of “Tiva.”

“The series delivers all the echoes of who Tony and Ziva were on NCIS, but now with a deeper groove,” Weatherly teased in a statement. “And locations you can’t get on a backlot.”

Set in Paris, the story kicks off with Tony and Ziva raising Tali in quiet domesticity – until Tony’s private security company comes under attack. Forced to flee, the family goes on the run through Europe to uncover who’s behind the threat. The cast and crew shot for eight months across exotic locations like Budapest, the Canary Islands, and Paris itself, bringing authenticity and scale to the globetrotting story.

“For us, shooting in Europe wasn’t just a setting – it was part of the storytelling,” says executive producer John McNamara. “We wanted to pull the audience into the truly beautiful and dangerous world Tony and Ziva are navigating.”

Joining the cast are Shadow and Bone star Amita Suman as Claudette, Tony’s tech-savvy second-in-command, and Ted Lasso’s Maximilian Osinski as Boris, a brilliant but mysterious Russian hacker.

But at the heart of the series is the long-awaited reunion of Tiva and their daughter. “She’s the perfect mix of her parents – headstrong, fierce, and ready to run toward danger,” McNamara says of Tali, who will also be portrayed at age 7 by Olivia Brody in flashbacks.

Fans will remember that Ziva’s sudden exit in 2013 left viewers stunned, and it wasn’t until Season 13 of NCIS that Tony discovered he had a daughter. When Ziva returned briefly in Season 17, the show gave the couple a soft, off-screen ending in Paris. Now, with NCIS: Tony & Ziva, that ending becomes a bold new beginning.

Weatherly, 56, says working with De Pablo, 45, again felt completely natural. “It was surprising how Cote and I just fell into this new place with our characters,” he says. “Informed by the past, illuminated by the present, and trying to see a future together – these characters are on the adventure of a lifetime. Hopefully so is the viewer.”

NCIS: Tony & Ziva premieres this fall exclusively on Paramount+.
