Dakota Johnson Turns Heads in Stunning White Dress While Attending Film Screening with Mom Melanie Griffith

Dakota Johnson was joined by her mother Melanie Griffith at a screening of her new film Materialists at the London Hotel in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The actress, 35, cut a glamorous figure for the event as she slipped into a white sleeveless dress with a low cut neckline.

The garment also featuered a cream hemline while Dakota accentuated her natural beauty with a light palette of makeup.

Melanie also looked incredible in a brown sheer turtle neck top which she tucked into a pair of blue jeans.

Wrapping up in a beige trench coat, the actress added height to her frame with a pair of brown boots and completed her look with a matching handbag.

Melanie shares Dakota with fellow actor Don Johnson who she was briefly married to for less than a year in 1976.

Dakota was also joined by her brother Jesse Johnson, who is the son of Dakota’s father Don Johnson and actress Patti D’Arbanville

In Materialists, Dakota stars as Lucy, a New York City matchmaker whose business gets complicated as she finds herself torn between the perfect match and her imperfect ex. She stars in the film opposite Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal.

Dakota also recently signed on to star opposite Anne Hathaway and Josh Hartnett in Verity, the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel by the same name.

The 50 Shades of Grey star is currently in a relationship with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

The pair were seen holding hands on a trip to India in January which came after  a source shut down rumours they had split.

In March 2024, an insider told People that the pair had been engaged for ‘years’ but ‘were in no rush to get married.’

‘Sure, they’ve had issues and taken breaks in the past, but things are great now,’ they added. ‘They both love their career. They are balancing things the best they can.’

More recently, in August 2024, their rep debunked split rumors to E! and insisted they ‘are happily together.’
