Chicago Fire Season 13 Star Reunites With Eammon Walker Sparking Boden Return Theories

Wallace Boden’s return theories are gaining steam after Eammon Walker reunites with a Chicago Fire season 13 star. Season 12 featured a string of losses for Firehouse 51. Long-time members Blake Gallo and Sylvie Brett left for personal reasons, while newbie, Derrick Gibson, walked away because of a sudden realization. However, there is no argument that the show’s biggest departure thus far was Boden. Firehouse 51’s long-time Battalion Chief officially moved on from his team to take a much bigger role in the Chicago Fire Department, which at least was a good thing.

Violet actor Hanako Greensmith shared an image of Walker on her Instagram Stories, sparking theories about Chicago Fire season 13 bringing back Firehouse 51’s beloved leader. Check out the image below:

In the image, Walker is wearing his casual clothes, and it doesn’t seem like it was taken near the filming of Chicago Fire season 13. Still, his reunion with Greensmith could indicate Boden’s return to One Chicago.

Will Boden Appear In Chicago Fire Season 13?

Boden Can Easily Stop By Firehouse 51.

The way Boden’s departure from Chicago Fire played out kept the door open for his return. Unlike permanent exits such as character deaths, Firehouse 51’s former leader isn’t slated to move outside the Windy City. Instead, he will just be in the main facility of the CFD, considering his recent election win. When Walker’s departure was also announced, it was reported that Boden would pop back in occasionally to see what his old team is doing, which makes the swirling theories not without merit.

Bringing Walker back for the new season will also make sense after his replacement plan falls through in Chicago Fire season 13.

In terms of narrative, there’s no stopping Chicago Fire season 13 from bringing back Boden. As previously mentioned, he and his old squad are still part of the same government body, which means that, technically, they are still working under one team. Bringing Walker back for the new season will also make sense after his replacement plan falls through in season 13. It can be remembered that Boden personally handpicked Christopher Hermann to be Firehouse 51’s next leader, but that won’t happen with Dom Pascal’s arrival.

Walker was the first actor to be cast in Dick Wolf’s One Chicago Universe. Admittedly, it will take some time to get used to not having him around Firehouse 51. Dermot Mulroney has work cut out for him to replace such a beloved actor and character in Chicago Fire season 13. At the very least, Boden got the promotion he had long deserved in his swan song storyline.
