Chicago Fire might be in its eleventh season, but NBC’s original One Chicago drama shows no signs of slowing down!

As 2022 comes to a close, TVLine has taken a look at NBC’s top-rated and most-watched shows of the season and Chicago Fire is walking away with bragging rights. When it comes to NBC’s scripted and non-scripted series, Chicago Fire ranks No. 1 in both metrics with an average of 9.4 million total viewers and a 1.1 rating in the key viewer demographic.

But wait, there’s even more exciting news! Not only is Chicago Fire NBC’s top show of the season, but Chicago Med and Chicago PD round out the Top 3 in total viewers with averages of 8.7 million and 8.5 million total viewers this season. Chicago PD also managed to tie Fire‘s 1.1 demo rating putting it at the top of the rating leaderboard alongside its sister series!

Chicago Fire ratings hint at renewal to come in 2023

Considering the fact that Chicago Fire — and the entire One Chicago lineup — once again top the rating chart at NBC, it seems incredibly likely NBC will hand out renewals to its entire One Chicago lineup.

It’s not often a network cancels its most-watched programs and in this day and age numbers like the ones the One Chicago shows are putting up don’t come easily.

With the shows maintaining a strong audience and passionate fandom, we imagine the One Chicago shows should be a shoo-in for renewal when the time comes for NBC to make decisions about its current line-up. In fact, we wouldn’t even be surprised if NBC were to hand out another multi-season renewal order to keep the shows around for more than just one season.
