Carter’s conscience about FC won’t sit well with Hope.
The Bold and the Beautiful power couple Carter and Hope are an unstoppable force. Since taking over Forrester Creations, they’ve developed newfound attitudes and strengthened their relationship. But Carter’s next move could impact the couple’s future.
Heavy Conscience
Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) fell hard and fast for Hope (Annika Noelle). The handsome lawyer wasted no time in swooping her off her feet. He became her biggest defender in the battle against the Forresters.
When Hope’s fashion line was cut, and she lost her job, Carter went to bat for her. Yet, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) were firm in their decision. With the Forresters not listening to reason, Carter decided to get payback by taking over Forrester Creations.
Carter’s betrayal stunned Ridge and Eric (John McCook), who considered him a friend. Yet, Carter defended his actions, proclaiming he’ll take the company in a new direction. Although Carter maintains he did the right thing, he’s beginning to have doubts. A conversation with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) left Carter with a guilty conscience.
As Carter’s guilt increases, he’ll want to make amends with the Forresters, something Hope won’t agree with. In Hope’s mind, the Forresters are the bad guys, and she’s the wronged party. Although Hope’s firing might have been unjustified, the cutting of her line wasn’t. Steffy and Ridge continued giving her clothing line multiple chances despite floundering sales.
Carter plotted this takeover for Hope and wanted to create a new future for the company together. But he realizes this is the Forresters’ legacy, not his or Hope’s. With Carter contemplating returning FC to the Forresters, it will upset Hope. She thought that she and Carter were on the same page. It was them versus the Forresters.
She loved how Carter stood up for her. But if he returns the company to the Forresters, she’ll consider it a betrayal.
