‘Blue Bloods’ Fans Love Bridget Moynahan’s Photo With “Brother” Donnie Wahlberg

While fans of Blue Bloods still lament the cancellation of the beloved show, they found a reason to celebrate on August 17, as cast member Donnie Wahlberg turned 55.

Bridget Moynahan, who portrays Erin Reagan on the show, marked the special occasion with a touching tribute to her on-screen brother. She shared a heartfelt and personal photo on Instagram that was warmly received by fans.

In the picture, Moynahan is seen laughing naturally while Wahlberg smiles at her. “This is @donniewahlberg convincing me I needed another Leo in my life. He wasn’t wrong. Can’t imagine my life without my brother from another mother. Love you! Happy Birthday!” she captioned the photo.

Wahlberg responded to her birthday post, writing, “Oh Breezy! Same! Same! Same! Thankful for you, every single day! ps – Everyone needs more Leos in their life! 🦁♌️👑😂😎❤️.”

Wahlberg’s sister, Tracey, also joined in the celebration by commenting on Moynahan’s update. She expressed her affection and said, “You are so sweet❤️ he is the kindest human I know so blessed he is my brother from the same mother😘.”

Fans flooded the comments section with birthday wishes for Wahlberg and messages of appreciation for the close relationship between Moynahan and Wahlberg. One fan said, “Such a beautiful picture you are a brother and sister you spent many years together!” Another shared, “My heart is full! Love seeing you guys laugh and support each other! ❤️ thank you for sharing.” A third commented, “Nice and reassuring to have a true friend. Congratulations 😉.”

Moynahan and Wahlberg initially worked together on a failed pilot before they were cast as siblings Erin and Danny Reagan on Blue Bloods. Wahlberg once shared on The Drew Barrymore Show, “We knew the moment we met we were gonna be friends forever.”

Though that first show didn’t make it to air, Wahlberg played a pivotal role in helping Moynahan secure the part on Blue Bloods, and the rest, as they say, is history.
