Fifty Shades of Grey was first released in 2015 and was followed by two sequels, both of which were huge box office successes. Fifty Shades of Grey was not critically acclaimed, but it was a hit with young audiences and helped make Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan big stars in Hollywood.
One of the main reasons why Fifty Shades of Grey is so popular is because of the series of “hot” scenes between the main actors Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. The film is filled with intimate scenes between the two actors, making the audience always curious to know how these scenes will make Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan feel and whether the two actors feel comfortable filming those intimate scenes.
In an interview, the film’s lead actress Dakota Johnson shared that she had to drink whiskey before filming the romantic scenes while her co-star did push-ups. “I was lying down drinking wine and eating mints while Dornan did push-ups,” said Dakota Johnson.
“I really had to prepare for every sex scene, knowing exactly what we were going to do and how we were going to accomplish the intimate scenes. During the three movies, shooting sex scenes was never easy,” Dakota affirmed.
“When I started this movie, I was 23, about to turn 24. I had never done a sex scene in a movie and I had never been naked. It was scary but I knew that from the moment I signed the contract to make the movie… It was a story I wanted to tell. Anyway, my character has nothing to do with me in real life,” Dakota confided.
Dakota also said that filming the X-rated scenes wasn’t exactly easy but she gradually felt a lot more comfortable because she and co-star Jamie had become so close: “After three years, we’ve become very close. We have a great love and respect for each other. We’re good friends and I think that makes it easier, definitely more comfortable.”
Dakota Johnson has become very famous after the success of the film 50 Shades of Grey but for this beautiful actress, fame makes her feel scared. She said: “I do movies because it is my passion and everything else is too much for me… Fame is a scary word. No one wants to say they want to be famous, no one wants to appear to like fame, no one wants to appear ungrateful… I just want to be anonymous, live my own life”.
