Any parent knows it’s not easy to find that balance between your career and your family. Even when you’re a big Hollywood actor like Jamie Dornan, it can be hard to keep all the balls in the air.
Yet even though you may think someone like he could afford to fly his kids everywhere when he starts to miss them on set, Jamie has resorted to the one thing mums and dads around the world can relate to.
Speaking to PEOPLE with his Heart Of Stone co-stars, Jamie and Gal Gadot shared their relatable parenting methods and tired mums and dads across the nation let out a sigh of relief.
Gal kicked off the honesty hour by explaining how she ‘struggles and juggles’ her career with being a mum often ‘stretching’ herself so she does miss any important moments.
Jamie then added: ‘You don’t you ever want to apologise for working, you know, you want your kids to see that work is important and we have this life because of the work that I do, my wife does.
‘It’s a good way of saying [Gal] that you stretch yourself while you’re there as much as you can. And that you’ve got to remember when we’re off, we’re like off, you know, I’m doing every school run.’
While we know this is a serious conversation about how to be a present dad and at the same time work on film sets around the globe, we just want to take a second to imagine what the school-run mums’ faces look like when Mr Grey shows for collection and drop off.
Jamie is very much a girl dad as he shares three daughters, Dulcie, Elva, and Alberta with his other half, music composer Amelia Warner.
Thanks to the nature of Amelia’s job, it has been easier for the couple to take his girls on his travels as he films around the globe.
When they’re not running around after the 41-year-old, the family seem to live the quiet life in the English countryside in Gloucestershire.
Hopefully, after Jamie finishes up all the press for his latest flick Heart of Stone, he’ll get a chance to relax with his girls there.
