ABC has officially renewed its hit crime drama Will Trent for a fourth season, which will consist of 18 episodes. The show, which premiered in January 2023, stars Ramón Rodríguez as the titular detective, Will Trent, of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). Based on Karin Slaughter’s bestselling book series, the show also features Erika Christensen, Iantha Richardson, Jake McLaughlin, and Sonja Sohn in key roles.

Ariana Madix Guest Stars in Will Trent Season 3
In an exciting crossover, Ariana Madix, known for her role on Vanderpump Rules, appeared in Season 3, Episode 8, which aired on February 25, 2025. Madix played a heightened version of herself and shared a memorable scene with Jake McLaughlin, who portrays Detective Michael Ormewood. The two recreated an iconic moment from the 1992 film The Bodyguard, with McLaughlin’s character carrying Madix to safety, a scene she described as both thrilling and meaningful.
In a behind-the-scenes interview, Madix shared that she and McLaughlin drew inspiration from the The Bodyguard VHS cover to ensure their dance scene was perfect. She also revealed that her first scene on set involved a passionate kiss with McLaughlin, which she described as a great icebreaker, helping her to feel more comfortable on set.
Though Madix’s appearance in Season 3 has concluded, she hinted that her character’s open-ended exit could lead to a potential return in the future.
