Young & Restless’ “Chance” Chancellor is rich, handsome and not psychotic. In other words, he ticks all the boxes. So why is he single? Maybe he just hasn’t met the right woman yet. Allow Soaps.com to play matchmaker as we lay out some very attractive options for GCPD’s finest.
The Training Wheels Are Off
Now that Claire has dipped a toe into the dating pool with Kyle, perhaps she’s ready for something — and someone — more serious. Kyle is cute, but his track record suggests that he’ll always go back to Summer. Chance, on the other hand… If he fell for Claire, he’d likely stay fallen.
When Billy breaks Sally’s heart — and we all know he’s gonna, don’t we? — she’ll likely swear off men for a while. Sulking after his split from Summer, Chance might swear off women, too, allowing him and Sally to forge a friendship that could surprise them both by turning into more.
Coulda Been
Remember the sparks that flew between Phyllis and Chance when he was reintroduced with Donny Boaz in the role? We do. And we wouldn’t mind seeing the characters connect in a sizzling sorta way now that Conner Floyd is Chance. If nothing else, it’d save Phyllis from a Billy redo.
Who’s That Girl?
Truth be told, we’re surprised that Young & Restless hasn’t already snapped up free agent Kelly Monaco (ex-Sam, General Hospital). If it does, she could play Chance’s new partner at the GCPD, a reckless cop who colors outside the lines and gives him a reason to look forward to undercover work.
They Have a Lot in Common
Well, mostly that their significant others cheated on them together. But with Amanda set to return to Genoa City, the timing might be right for her and Chance to show Devon and Abby what they gave up by getting together and painting the town a gorgeously vengeful shade of red.
Chance could end up falling for someone nice and normal — say, the new bartender at Society whose personality is more intoxicating than her drinks. Cast someone charismatic like Days of Our Lives’ Sal Stowers (ex-Lani) and let nature take its course!
An Old Flame
Chance was just getting started with Sharon when a wacky dream convinced her to suddenly end their romance. Could he entice her to reconsider her decision to cut him loose by batting his baby blues in her direction over a Frappuccino with two straws? What if he also bought her a scone?
But Does She Make House Calls?
If anyone’s love life is in worse shape than Chance’s, it’s Elena’s. But their nights could be resuscitated in a heartbeat if only they’d notice that they’re two spectacularly attractive singletons who, unlike most of Genoa City, don’t have scheme-a-day calendars on their desks.
An Unlikely Candidate
We’ve gotten no hint that there’s any trouble in Chloe’s marriage to Kevin — which almost assures that there is some, right? Give Chloe her first storyline in eons by having her act on impulse by making a play for the long-ago beau (who was played by John Driscoll way back when).
Game Over
After being lied to repeatedly by Cane, cheated on by him and Daniel, and dumped by Billy, Lily is so over players. So a Mr. Nice Guy like Chance might be just the sorta fella who’d caterest. She might even respect his decision to walk away from the corporate world.
The One That Got Away
It was always gonna be a problem for Chance and Summer’s relationship when he was forced to start arresting her relatives. But now that they’ve realized that it usually amounts to nothing, maybe he could convince her not to repeat past mistakes by going after ex-husband Kyle again.
Here’s to You, Mrs. Robinson
Lauren would never, ever cheat on Michael. Not after the Carmine fiasco. But that doesn’t mean that she and Chance couldn’t find themselves attracted to one another and condemned to fight that pull in such a way that they we get the show’s sexiest story of forbidden lust in years.
The Ex Factor
Abby’s had so little story since tying the knot with Devon that portrayer Melissa Ordway has been dropped to recurring status. That could change in the blink of an eye if Abby started feeling a certain pull back toward former husband Chance. Could it be Devon’s turn to catch Abby cheating?
Let’s Do the Time Warp Again
Now that we’ve solved the problem of Chance’s love life, we deserve a reward, don’t you think? Like, for instance, a walk down Memory Lane via our massive photo gallery of Young & Restless through the years.
