Jennifer Aniston has talked about her routine, as well as the good habits she tries to follow.
She said she has a better relationship with her body than with her sleeping habits.
The 55-year-old actress recently emphasized in an interview for “Allure” that she and her body “really love each other.”
She added that everyone should love their body.
“We must love our bodies. He is doing the best he can. It’s been with us since the day we started, so we can’t be too hard on it,” advised The Morning Show star.
She also told the story that made her think this way.
“I knew an old man and he was just working, working, working. I said, ‘You’re impressive. You never stop.’ And he told me, ‘I just don’t let myself get old,'” the actress said.
This response, as she pointed out, made her reflect.
“Of course, we will all grow old, but how can we develop ourselves as we age?” she asked. “And it’s about giving your body the attention it deserves. For me personally, I loved the thirties, but the twenties were nothing. It was a nightmare. I didn’t understand what exercise was until I was 30.”
The “Friends” actress also explained how she embraces aging “with positivity and gratitude.”
“We are still here. What is the alternative? I’m trying not to think about getting old. I’m trying not to think about age. The world will always be there to tell us what our age is and what women should do in society when they are this or that,” she added.
Although she has a better relationship with her body, the “Emmy” winner admitted that she has a difficult relationship with sleep.
“I really want to love him and I am sure that he will love me, but we have had difficulties, especially during the last 10, 15 years. It’s just hard to turn the brain off, hard to tell the brain to stop talking,” she said.
The actress said she has “worked hard to improve her sleeping habits.”
“I’ve been trying really hard to go to bed during the week at 10pm, forget about everything and then sit there and let the world fall on me. I have tried to meet this challenge for myself. Some days are great and some days are not.”
However, she stressed that she tries not to be hard on herself.
“I’m a big believer in trying not to be too hard on yourself because the world is so bad right now and so aggressive and negative. So why should we do it ourselves?” she asked.
In addition to trying to “not be hard” on herself, she revealed that she tries to combine this with the 80/20 approach.
“Eighty percent healthy living and then 20 percent is: Go drink a martini, go eat pizza and hamburgers and stay up late with your friends. There is a balance,” she said.
Well, there are some habits we think we should all adopt just like Jennifer Aniston (except the relationship with sleep).
