Former Grey’s Anatomy Star Shocks With Revealed Appearance In Legendary Series

A beloved and sorely missed alum of Grey’s Anatomy has signed on to participate in another popular medical procedural, and fans are “gasping for joy” over the news that she’ll be returning to their screens on a weekly basis.

Jessica Capshaw, AKA Dr. Arizona Robbins, has joined the cast of 9-1-1’s latest spinoff, 9-1-1: Nashville, with the actress turning to Instagram today, April 15, to gush over the new role with her followers.

“I had to swear on my new cowgirl boots I wouldn’t tell anyone about this role until it was the right time,” she admitted, sharing a screenshot of a news article from The Wrap announcing her casting. “And now I FINALLY I get to share my excitement with you all
Fans returned her energy in the comments, “screaming crying throwing up” over the news.

Capshaw left the long-running series created by Shonda Rhimes in March 2018, and 9-1-1: Nashville marks her first television role since. According to The Hollywood Reporter, details of her role are being kept quiet for now, but she’s set to star opposite Chris O’Donnell, who will play Capt. Don Sharpe of Nashville’s busiest firehouse.
