A special reunion has left NCIS fans extremely emotional: Michael Weatherly (Tony DiNozzo), Cote de Pablo (Ziva David) and Sean Murray (Tim McGee) have reunited for the first time in… 10 years.
The reunion did not take place on set, but in the studio of the Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch podcast – where Weatherly and de Pablo reminisced about memorable NCIS moments. Sean Murray was the special guest on a recent episode, marking the first time the three actors have sat down together since they left the main series.
“We haven’t sat down like this in 10 years,” Cote de Pablo shared emotionally. “Ten years. The three of us, sitting down, having a real conversation. Ten years.”
Murray, somewhat bemused, agrees: “I’ve never set a specific time, but I know that whenever I see them, it feels great.”
The reunion is all the more special because it ties into the upcoming project – NCIS: Tony & Ziva, a brand new spin-off that will follow two of the series’ most beloved characters. The series will be set in Europe, where Tony and Ziva live with their daughter and face new dangers as their past comes back to haunt them.
While it’s unclear whether Sean Murray or other NCIS characters will appear in the spin-off, fans are hopeful that the trio’s close friendship will continue to be reflected on screen – not just in the podcast.
