Even some of the top performers get booed from time to time… Take Dave Chappelle as an example, he once got booed off the stage, but had the perfect reaction to it. We’ve also seen hosts stick up for their controversial guests once the boos started to accumulate. Stephen Colbert is an example of that, sticking up for Ted Cruz during their interview.
Surprisingly, Jennifer Aniston also falls under this category. We’re going to reveal the reason Aniston was booed on a couple of occasions by the fans. It seems like Aniston has a tendency of being late during premieres, and this did not sit well with fans.
Along with her premiere moments, we’re going to take a look at a controversial statement made by Aniston. She faced lots of backlash for her take on the industry and in truth, she might’ve gotten booed by an audience at her interview with Variety taken place in front of a crowd.
Let’s take a look back at these moments.
Jennifer Aniston Made Fans Upset After She Refused To Sign Autographs At The Premiere Of Life Of Crime
Back in 2013, Jennifer Aniston completely switched genres, appearing in the drama/crime film, Life of Crime. The film received mixed reviews, while it made a mere $1.5 million at the box office. This was an alarming number given that the budget itself was $12 million.
Aniston had promoted lots of films in the past, and the one knock that she typically gets is her tardiness for these events. That might’ve been the case during her appearance at the Life Of Crime premiere, as Aniston waved to the crowd from a distance, and didn’t sign any autographs on the day.
As expected, this did not sit well with fans who were waiting for Aniston. The moment can be seen in the YouTube video below, posted by Celebrity Chaos.
Although Jen is considered an A-lister in Hollywood, she has faced several difficult circumstances in the past. Not only has she received backlash for past comments, but she was also booed by fans on other occasions.
It Wasn’t The Only Time Jennifer Aniston Got Booed By Fans
Jennifer Aniston has been booed on multiple occasions, whether it be at a premiere or talk show appearance. In this instance, Jennifer Aniston was booed at a premiere. This time, it was for the film, Mother’s Day. The 2016 film had a stacked cast which featured Aniston, alongside Kate Hudson, Julia Roberts and Jason Sudeikis. The film was nowhere near a critical success, but it did manage to bring in close to $50 million.
Nonetheless, according to the Toronto Sun, Aniston’s entrance at the premiere was not well-received by fans. The publication writes, A “fashionably late” Jennifer Aniston was booed by fans as she attended the premiere of her new movie in Los Angeles.”
“A video posted to TMZ shows the actress stepping out of her car and giving a quick wave to applauding fans – only to have those cheers quickly change over to jeers as she rushed inside the theatre. The celebrity site claims Aniston was late for the Mother’s Day premiere by an hour, and that her co-stars were upset at having to wait for her to arrive.”
It was the same ordeal just a year prior as Jennifer Aniston got booed at The Daily Show. You already know it, once again, Aniston was late to her interview and was rushing inside the studio. This left fans completely hanging outside, without getting acknowledged by the actress.

Jennifer Aniston has received heat for her tardiness, but the same also holds true for some her past comments. One of her controversial statements came alongside Sebastian Stan and Variety. During the interview, Aniston talked about the current state of Hollywood, and how different things are today. However, fans weren’t particularly impressed with Aniston’s thoughts on the current state of the industry. Aniston faced backlash for her fame comments.
She said, “Right at the time when the internet really shaped a new culture about people becoming famous. This thing of people becoming famous for basically doing nothing. I mean — Paris Hilton, Monica Lewinsky, all those.”
Aniston continues, “I feel so lucky that we got a little taste of the industry before it became what it is today … More streaming services — you’re famous from TikTok, you’re famous from YouTube, you’re famous from Instagram. It’s almost, like, it’s diluting the actor’s job.”
Despite Aniston’s popularity and massive fan base, this did not sit well with lots of people. This was especially evident given that fans pointed out Aniston had connections through her parents in getting into the industry to begin with. It was not the best look for Aniston and one the fans clearly took exception to.
