Daytime Emmy winner, Mishael Morgan is headed back on-screen on The Young and the Restless to reprise her role as Amanda Sinclair.
The talented and popular actress is back taping on the set this week of the CBS daytime drama for a guest arc, according to a report from Deadline. Morgan ‘s last appearance was just over a year ago in February of 2024, when her character made a brief visit to Genoa City.
Y&R fans first met Morgan when she played Hilary Curtis on the soap in 2013. The series killed-off her character in a terrible car crash in 2018. Mishael returned to the top-rated daytime drama in 2019 as Hilary’s twin, Amanda, who is a lawyer. Morgan made Emmy history becoming the first Black actress to win the Lead Actress Daytime Emmy in 2022 for her performances.
Meanwhile, Mishael is also set to star in Hallmark Channel’s new spring series Hearts Around the Table which will be about stories of four foster siblings. In her episode entitled Hearts Around the Table: Shari’s Story, Morgan (as Shari) moves back to D.C. following a breakup. That’s when Shari meets the repairman (Brendan Morgan) of the building space she’s rented. However, she has no idea he owns the property. The Facts of Life’s Mindy Cohn stars as Morgan’s foster mom.
