Foodies have been left reeling after discovering the contents of Gordon Ramsay’s pricey full English breakfast, with some branding it a “Half English”.
The celebrity chef’s take on the classic morning dish, served at The River Restaurant by Gordon Ramsay at the five-star Savoy Hotel in central London, features a sausage, streaky bacon, tomato, mushroom, black pudding and eggs – all for a hefty £24.
However, fans have been left scratching their heads over the absence of staples like beans, hash browns, fried bread and toast, with some also questioning the use of American-style bacon. While beans are included with the main meal, hash browns and toast come at an extra cost of £4 and £4.50 respectively.
Agreement was found with a grim comparison, with another adding: “That bacon looks harder than my life.” On a brighter note, there were those who praised the arrangement, as someone else wrote: “Plated beautifully.”
Compliments followed with remarks like: “Beautiful presentation”, and an enthusiastic fan adding: “Oh yes please! Invite please.”
