Gordon Ramsay Breaks Silence on Gino D’Acampo Friendship Amid Shocking Allegations

Gordon Ramsay has clarified his feelings towards Gino D’Acampo following rumours about their friendship being over.

It was claimed the pair had a ‘fractured’ relationship and that Ramsay had raised concerns about D’Acampo’s behaviour in the past, after it emerged that the This Morning star is facing allegations from dozens of people who have worked with him over a 12-year.

D’Acampo, 48, has been accused of alleged bullying and sexually inappropriate comments, and his alleged behaviour has been described by some people as ‘unacceptable,’ ‘distressing’ and ‘horrendous’.

He has ‘firmly denied’ the allegations, and said they are ‘deeply upsetting’.

After they were first reported, sources claimed that Ramsay had raised concerns about D’Acampo’s alleged behaviour two years ago and wanted to ‘change those ways’ which led to the demise of their friendship.

However, the Hell’s Kitchen chef, 58, has now dismissed any reports he ‘cut off’ his former Road Trip co-star, speaking about it for the first time.

‘I have reached out to Gino, checked in to make sure he and the family were doing okay. Fred too,’ he told The Evening Standard.

This comes after a source told MailOnline: ‘Gordon was horrified with what had gone on and felt it was time to step in and stop it.

‘He has three daughters and a wife, Tana, who he absolutely adores and felt it was disgusting. He wanted to change those ways but then it led to difficulties between them.

‘Gordon found there was a lot of unacceptable behaviour going on, he saw things he didn’t think were okay so he spoke up. That was that, friendship over.’

It was claimed that the two TV chefs, who starred alongside I’m A Celebrity’s Fred Sirieix on their Gordon, Gino and Fred Road Trip series, were no longer speaking and that friends of Ramsay were ‘throwing Gino under the bus’ after the allegations came to light.

Ramsay’s representatives had also fiercely denied claims that he had ‘orchestrated a smear campaign’ against D’Acampo, telling The Standard that the rumours were ‘utter nonsense’ and ‘ridiculous’ to suggest he would want to ‘prolong’ the controversy.

Studio Ramsay also issued a statement following an ITV investigation into D’Acampo’s alleged behaviour.

It read: ‘Studio Ramsay has not worked on a series with Gino D’Acampo since 2022.

‘Whilst we do not disclose or discuss personnel matters publicly, Studio Ramsay is committed, in conjunction with our broadcast partners, to maintaining a safe and professional work environment.

‘We take all allegations of inappropriate behavior and workplace misconduct seriously, investigate promptly, and take appropriate action when warranted.’

D’Acampo announced in 2023 that he would not be returning to the ITV travel series with Ramsay and Sirieix due to ‘scheduling conflicts’.

‘I’ve got a bit of news for you, and the reason I want to tell you is because I don’t want you to read any crap or any wrong information,’ he said at the time.

‘Last week I decided not to film any more Gordon, Gino and Fred Road Trip, the reason is simple, nothing to do with Gordon and Fred – the friendship is very strong.

‘It’s just because we can’t get the dates together.’
