NCIS Hawaii: Cast celebrate as they unveil HQ set. The NCIS universe is about to be shaken up by the premiere of NCIS: Hawaii coming to CBS later this year. NCIS LA season 13 release: Production manager shares huge update. NCIS’ Pauley Perrette pays tribute to former series co-star Weatherly. Gjokaj – who fans may recognise for his roles in Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and ABC’s The Rookie – has been cast as Navy Captain Joe Milius.

According to Variety, Milius will be introduced to Tennant and her team in NCIS: Hawaii following an explosive aircraft crash. However, despite the high-ranking commander being drafted in to investigate the top-secret crash, he deems it an accident. Tennant, however, has other ideas and when she takes the lead on the incident, it looks like the pair will butt heads in her taste of opposition. Espite the two characters poised to face off, Lachey was quick to express her excitement at seeing Gjokaj landing the role. The announcement of Gjokaj’s arrival came at the same time as co-star Alex Tarrant who’s been unveiled as NCIS agent and local resident Kai.

And sharing a screenshot of the announcement from Deadline onto her Instagram page, Lachey captioned: ‘My boyzzzz.” (Sic) New NCIS: Hawaii character Kai may enter the fray at the same time as Capt. Milius but he looks set to prove much more of an ally to Tennant. The character’s description brands Kai as a charming youngster who’s spent most of his adult life running from his home. But now he’s back in Hawaii as an NCIS agent, although he’s facing personal struggles thanks to his past. Kai also has to deal with his ill father when he returns as he juggles his crime-fighting career with his home life. Fans will have to wait until NCIS: Hawaii premieres to discover how these relationships will unfold but in the meantime, showrunner Larry Tend has been treating fans to some behind the scenes footage.
