She’s done a lot worse. Twice.
General Hospital fans can already see it now: The minute Olivia finds out that Lois and Brook Lynn kept the truth about Gio being Brook Lynn and Dante’s secret child, thanks to a summer camp fling, she will go ballistic. How dare those two horrible women keep Gio from his father, Dante? From his grandmother Olivia? From his grandfathers Ned and Sonny? This is a crime! A horrible crime! Olivia won’t stand for it! How dare they? How could they? What kind of person would do such a thing? How about a person’s name… Olivia?
Exhibit A
Oliva (Lisa Locicero) never told Sonny (Maurice Benard) that they had a son together, Dante (Dominic Zapronga). She not only kept the boy a secret, she made her cousin Kate — the love of Sonny’s life — keep it a secret, too.
Olivia never intended to tell Sonny the truth about Dante. Except then her cop son infiltrated Daddy dearest’s criminal investigation and was about to arrest Sonny for being, well, a criminal. So Sonny shot him point-blank in the chest. Dude asked for it, you know?
Only then did Olivia blurt out the truth. At this point, Sonny did an instant about-face, swearing, “I love you,” to the newfound proof of his loins. So that’s secret baby #1 for Olivia.
Exhibit B
Proving that her love for smarmy criminals ran deep, Olivia got pregnant by Julian (William Devry). She was so determined to keep his son, Leo (Easton Rocket Sweda), from him that she got her hands on a whole other baby, called him Matteo, and passed this kid off as Julian’s while she kept Leo all to herself. That’s secret baby #2. This means that Olivia has no room to judge Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) or Lois (Rena Sofer). None. Nada. Zippo. If Dante and Ned (Wally Kurth) want to go on on them, that’s their business. But Olivia should have herself a seat. Forever.
