When people go missing, it’s either accidentally or intentionally. In the latter’s case, someone could hide or be kidnapped. Kidnappings are usually aimed at a certain goal and if someone is willing to kidnap another person, they might not have any boundaries to what they can do. In Tracker Season 2, Episode 11, “Shades of Gray,” Colter is hired by the owner of a successful cupcake business to find her missing son, but his search lands him in hot water when he crosses New Jersey’s mafia territory in the middle of a war. The logline below for the March 2 episode previews this case, while images preview Colter’s predicament when the mafia captures him.
What Does the Mafia Have to Do with Cupcakes?
In the images above, Colter goes to New Jersey to meet Ivy Hale (Amy Pietz), the successful cupcake chain founder whose son is being tracked. It is unclear if the son has gone missing or is in hiding, but that might not matter much when Colter finds himself in the hands of the mafia. If there is anything The Sopranos taught us, it’s that businesses and the mafia go hand-in-hand and there might be a connection between Ivy’s business and them. The images tease some trouble for Colter when he’s forced to kneel before gun-wielding men with a bloody mouth.
Meanwhile, Reenie’s new romantic interest, Elliot (Michael Rady), returns. He was introduced in Tracker Season 2, Episode 4, “Noble Rot,” as Reenie’s plus-one at a fancy retreat. Tracker has not made a stand on Reenie and Colter’s potential romance. “I think now our relationship is so connected that we really do want the best for one another. I think Colter is really aware of what he’s able to give right now,” Rene told TV Insider of where they stand currently. She added: “And I think he knows that Reenie needs more and he wants that for her because I think down deep, he loves me, too, and you want the best for the person you love, not just what you want. So I say, the door is closed … [with the] ellipses.” As far as Elliot and Reenie are concerned, Rene said:
