Everything We Know About Love Is Blind Season 8

Love Is Blind is already in its eighth season, taking a premise many thought couldn’t work and proving everyone wrong. Fans are excited to curl up with the new season, and details released ahead of the premiere have those who plan to watch eager to see how the conversations in the pods, the engagements, and of course the drama, all play out.

What Do We Know So Far About the Love Is Blind Season 8 Cast?

The Cast Is Made up of Mainly Those in Their 30s

The cast of Love Is Blind season 8, which was filmed in March 2024 and marks the show’s fifth anniversary, all hail from Minneapolis, MN. Most of the cast members are in their 30s, though there are a few in their late 20s and one woman in her 40s. Alex, Brittany, and Joey were the first three singles to be revealed, appearing in the season 7 reunion episode.

They have a diverse selection of occupations, ranging from a hairstylist and an artist to a partnership executive to a business owner. Many of them work in sales and several in the medical field, including three women who work as nurses. For the men, there are a number of them who work in the field of real estate.

There are 32 cast members in all, evenly split between 16 women and 16 men. They all seem serious about finally wanting to settle down and find the love of their lives. Meg, for example, has a demanding career and has been single for two years but now wants to make “finding love a priority.” Monica has deleted all her dating apps, hopeful that being on the show will finally mean she no longer needs them.

What Drama Has Been Teased?

It Looks Like Yet Another Spicy Season

Instantly in the trailer for season eight of Love Is Blind, it’s clear that drama is afoot. “When the doors opened and I saw him,” a woman’s voice says, “I thought ‘he’s so familiar to me.’” She goes on to explain that she believed the man knew exactly what she looked like while they were talking through the wall. Since this implies this woman met the man she is talking about, it means they got engaged and had the big reveal when she made this revelation.

Could this be another situation like Brittany and Leo in season seven or Nicole and Sam from Love Is Blind: U.K. who met and decided not to go on the vacation together after they realized they weren’t compatible? Or, in this case, was the woman duped?

The trailer shows teases of fun conversations in the pods, including one cast member who comments jokingly that the woman must “no longer be attractive” since she’s 30, and another who describes the antics in the pods as being like The Hunger Games, albeit playfully so.

There are also hints of love triangles, with one woman saying she “can’t wait to tell her boyfriend to break up with his girlfriend,” while another claims that a woman is “trying to date the person that I want to marry.” Anyone who is a fan of the show knows that love triangles are inevitable, par for the course every season. And it appears as though season eight will be no exception.

Keen-eyed viewers will notice a few individuals who clearly got engaged since they’re seen at the reveal stage. These include Virginia, Joey, Daniel, and Ben. Others are shown either proposing or presumably accepting, including Devin and Monica. The latter only says “absolutely,” which could have been a comment on anything. But she is later seen jumping on a bed on vacation, so it’s likely she is one of several who got engaged.

Most of the drama happens on vacation when the newly engaged couples meet one another and each person meets others, including singles, with whom they also connected in the pods. When there’s a love triangle, this adds another element of complication and awkwardness.

But in this season of the show that should rank among the best long-running Netflix series, it appears there is drama relating to things outside of the cast, too. In one scene, a woman looks at her phone and references a “girl on TikTok” who is crying, while Sara, who presumably gets engaged as well, is seen telling someone “I need you to tell me everything.” Also seen lying in bed looking frustrated is David, suggesting that he might be another one to get engaged.

The trailer continues with someone accusing another person of having had a boyfriend before going into this. From accusations of liars to a woman being “all over” someone else’s man, someone being blocked on social media, and someone requesting a prenup, there’s a lot going on. “Get me out of here!” screams one woman in a wedding dress getting into a car, suggesting that at least one couple make it to the wedding stage and don’t say “I do.”

The tease may reveal a lot more than fans wanted to know prior to watching, but it’s exciting to see all the connections form, bonds grow (or dissipate), and drama unfold through the season’s dozen episodes. Fans hope that ultimately, in the end, there will be at least one couple to join the longest-lasting reality TV show couples.

With Love Is Blind already renewed through season 10, there’s plenty more of the concept to come. It promises to be just as exciting as the past ones that have yielded love, loss, fights, drama, and beautiful unions.
