Emma’s passion for animals is more than just a phase—she’s on a mission to raise awareness about animal cruelty, and Port Charles is taking notice.
A New Face, A New Cause
Emma Scorpio-Drake (now played by Braedyn Bruner) has come a long way since her days as a sweet little girl on General Hospital. After transferring from Berkeley to PCU, she’s not the same innocent princess she once was. The rebellious young woman has returned to Port Charles with a fresh perspective and an unshakable drive to stand up for something that matters deeply to her—animal rights.
Gone are the days of the pampered child. Emma has traded in her tiaras for a cause, and it’s one that hits close to home. She’s no longer content with sitting on the sidelines. Instead, she’s passionately fighting against animal cruelty, particularly focusing on the cruel practice of animal testing.
A Rebel With A Purpose
Caught sneaking out in the dead of night to attend a meeting at the Mercury Club, Emma’s motivations were clear: She wasn’t just out to have fun—she was there to take action. The meeting was for Students Against Animal Cruelty (SAC), and Emma is all in. She’s dedicated herself to raising awareness and funds for this cause, driven by her love of animals, especially dogs.
In a heart-to-heart with her new friend Gio (Giovanni Mazza), Emma shared the story behind her passion. As a child, she grew up surrounded by two beloved dogs and even volunteered at a local animal shelter. However, her optimism was shattered when she witnessed puppies being sold to labs for testing. That’s when Emma decided to channel her heartbreak into something powerful—stopping animal testing for good.
A Cause That Runs In The Family
Emma’s mother, Robin Scorpio-Drake, has long been a symbol of strength and resilience, having fought for AIDS awareness after Stone’s death. Now, Emma is following in her mother’s footsteps, finding her own cause to champion.
While SAC’s initial fundraising efforts at the Mercury Club didn’t raise much, Emma isn’t giving up. She knows that college students aren’t exactly swimming in funds, so she’s turning to the “olds” and “boomers” for help. Her plan? Host a high-profile fundraising event at the Metro Court—a night where the older generation can step up and make a difference. She’s even enlisted Gio to provide entertainment with his violin, and the chemistry between these two is already palpable. Could this be the start of something more?
Emma’s Big Night
Emma is proving to be more than just the rebellious daughter of Robin Scorpio-Drake. She’s a young woman with a heart full of passion, a cause that’s close to her heart, and the determination to make real change. If her event at the Metro Court goes off as planned, it could be the biggest event Port Charles has seen in a while.
