
Appearing on the Office Ladies podcast, which Fischer and Kinsey host, Olyphant reveals that he could hardly get through one scene because he couldn’t stop laughing at Carell while filming The Office season 7, episode 5, titled “The Sting.” The scene Olyphant is referring to is when Michael Scott prevents Olyphant’s character, Danny Cordray, from leaving the building after he discovers that the Dunder Mifflin employees are trying to steal his sales tactics. I don’t remember anything difficult about the show, other than I do remember laughing. I’m sure I screwed up what would have been a really good scene because with Carell where I just couldn’t stop laughing. It was so intense and funny, and there’s a little bit of disappointment still there, that I could not keep a straight face. He’s incredible. He’s fully committed. And I’m quite certain, I haven’t seen it, you know, that I’m the one busting up more than he is.
