On August 16 (local time), responding to Page Six , Dakota Johnson’s representative denied rumors that the actress had broken off her engagement to Chris Martin. This person affirmed: “That information is not true. They are still living happily together.”
Previously, Daily Mail quoted a source saying that the 50 Shades star and her boyfriend had gone their separate ways after 7 years of love. The source said: “Chris has accepted the end of the relationship and the best choice is to move on.”
Rumors of a rift between the stars arose after Johnson was absent from the European leg of Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres tour. The actor was also seen without his engagement ring all summer.
The last time Johnson publicly supported Martin and his band was in June, when she attended the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England.
Dakota Johnson has been dating Chris Martin since 2017, a year after the Coldplay member finalized his divorce from ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow. The two keep their relationship private and do not post photos of each other on social media.
