5 Famous Actors You Totally Forgot Showed Up On Blue Bloods

Since first hitting our screens in 2010, Blue Bloods has catapulted the careers of actors including Will Estes and the Terraciano brothers to another level.

It’s also given Tom Selleck a whole new character to make his own. But the show has also seen a host of big stars make an appearance in it. Here are just five of them:

Whoopi Goldberg

Playing the part of New York City Council speaker, Regina Thomas, actor, producer, stand-up, host, author, and star of Ghost, Sister Act, and The Color Purple has appeared in three episodes of Blue Bloods.

It takes a formidable person to stand up to Frank Reagan. And Goldberg is certainly that.

Her presence on screen is immense and the dynamic between her and Selleck is something that many fans hope we’ll see more of in future episodes.

Bobby Cannavale

Best known for other TV roles in Boardwalk Empire, Mr Robot, and Third Watch among others, Cannavale featured in three episodes during the first season of Blue Bloods.

He played Charles Rossellini, a district attorney, who flirted with (and at one point kissed) Erin (played by Bridget Moynahan).

Lorraine Bracco

Probably best known for her portrayal of Dr Melfi, Tony’s Soprano’s therapist, Bracco also starred in the award-winning 1991 mobster movie Goodfellas. She also appeared in five episodes of Blue Bloods as New York City mayor Margaret Dutton.

Away from acting, Bracco has also been seen on TV as a guest judge on Top Chef and hosted the documentary series My Big Italian Adventure.

Michael Imperioli

Another mobster alumnus, Imperioli also starred in both Goodfellas and The Sopranos. Like Bracco, he is a New York native and no doubt loved getting a part in a show featuring his home state.

Despite his penchant for playing gangsters, Imperioli is no stranger to cop shows.

He appeared in NYPD Blue, New York Undercover, Law & Order, Project Blue Book, and Hawaii Five-0, before also landing the role of New York Attorney General Robert Lewis in Blue Bloods. So far, he’s appeared in three episodes.

Method Man

Shooting to fame as a member of the Wu-Tang Clan in the early 90s, Method Man (real name Clifford Smith Jr) has also made several appearances in TV shows.

And like Michael Imperioli, he’s done the rounds when it comes to police procedurals.

He played Mario Hunt, who first appeared on the show in 2015 as a gang leader accused of murder. He reappeared later that series before returning for his third stint on the show when looking to broker the end of a gang war.
