Donnie Wahlberg Cheers on Blue Bloods Co-Star Will Hochman After Big Role in Vought Rising

Blue Bloods fans are celebrating alongside Will Hochman after the actor landed a major role in Amazon’s highly anticipated prequel to The Boys, Vought Rising. The series, set in the 1950s, is being described as a twisted murder mystery, and will feature Hochman alongside Supernatural‘s Jensen Ackles and You’re The Worst star Aya Cash. Ackles will reprise his role as Soldier Boy, while Cash steps into the role of Clara Vought.

Will shared his exciting news with a simple post, featuring two red exclamation marks, which immediately caught the attention of his former Blue Bloods co-stars. Donnie Wahlberg, who portrayed Danny Reagan on the CBS series, enthusiastically responded in the comments: “Let’s goooooooo!” While Abigail Hawk, who played Detective Abigail Baker, also expressed her excitement with a resounding “Yes!!!!!!”

Hochman, who starred as Joseph “Joe” Hill on Blue Bloods, joined the show in season 10 as a newly discovered member of the Reagan family. His character, a detective in the NYPD, became a key part of the series before its conclusion. “The most meaningful part of filming this year has been getting to connect even more with the crew and the cast,” Hochman reflected in a 2024 interview, highlighting the camaraderie on set.

In Vought Rising, Hochman will shift gears from the NYPD to join the larger-than-life world of superheroes, adding to his already diverse career. His co-stars from Blue Bloods have been quick to show their support, with Wahlberg’s excitement underscoring the close-knit bond the cast shares.

With Blue Bloods ending its 14-year run, Hochman’s new venture is a major step forward in his career. Fans of both the actor and the show can’t wait to see him in this thrilling new role as the world of The Boys expands.
